JOB DETAIL

Jubilee Health Insurance Company of Uganda Limited (JHICU) wishes to recruit young, competent, energetic, flexible and committed persons to fill the following position in the Company.

REPORTING LINE: Chief Executive Officer
DUTY STATION: Head Office

ROLE PURPOSE
The job holder will be responsible for managing and overseeing the overall sales objectives, goals and revenue of all the teams and sales personnel in JHICU across the Country.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee the recruitment, promotion and development of sales team members in order to achieve individual career potential in a team environment.
2. Formulate and Disseminate sales strategies for the various levels within the sales hierarchy (agent, unit, agency and national level).
3. Ensure the agency team is located within key regions in the Country and map out the agency geographical expansion plan.
4. Evaluate performance of the Sales team with a key focus on managing the manpower, activity and productivity levels.
5. Networking with potential business partners and clients
6. Creating presentations for business partners, corporate executives and shareholders.
7. Direct and Lead coordination of activation activities within the Country.
8. Develop process improvements to optimize agency sales activities.
9. Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
10. Track and analyze market trends, staying updated with the latest developments in the industry and competitor activities.
11. Manage the sales expense budget and ensure that sales incentives are rolled out and awarded in a timely manner.
12. Provide training, coaching, development, and motivate the sales team.
13. Monitor the portfolio persistency, checking the quality of business submitted and work with the team to ensure that the expected persistency level is maintained.
14. Provide reports to track performance for the business key drivers.
15. Collate product and business ideas from the sales force and champion cross functional team projects to deliver innovation.
16. Provide regular feedback to product development teams to design and develop niche products.
17. Ensure full compliance to all statutory and regulatory matters
18. Follow up and closure of all audit and compliance recommendations
19. Any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor in line with the strategic plan.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Economics or any Business-Related field from a recognized University.
2. Qualification in an Insurance course is an added advantage.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
1. Five (5) – Eight (8) years’ relevant experience preferably in an Insurance company.

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
