Job Title: 2 Librarians
Report to: Custodian.

Job Summary: The Librarian ensures the school library is managed to the highest standards. Hefshe contributes to the learning environment of the school, providing for effective use of the library space as a study area and that hooks in the library remain retrievable, traceable and accessible to students and staff to support personal study. He/she oversees the Library Information management system (LIMS) ensuring the security of library property; that books are coded and categorised in the LIMS and that there is a conducive environment to reinforce studyfresearch. The Librarian also guarantees that the library is securely locked and opened on time, that a clean and conducive atmosphere prevails and that books, journals and other resources in the library are managed according to best practice and comply with the schools Libraiy rules and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Diploma in Library and lnformation Systems Management or a related discipline (A Degree is an added advantage). 3 years’ experience in a similar Job role or a related function.
• The ideal candidate should have sound values; good Libraiy and lnfomation Systems Management, People management skills; Basic statistical knowledge; forecasting, storage and book keeping skills, team- management; ability to communicate efiectively; strong interpersonal skills; resultsoriven; ability to work independently and take initiative; and demonstrated discretion.Job Skills: Not Specified
