1. Job Title: Procurement Officer

Reports to: Senior Procurement Officer .

Duties and Responsibilities
i Liaises with end-users and compiles all procurement requirements of the organization.
ii. Guides the suppliers on procurement procedures
iii. Verifies documentation relating to procurement and organizes the documentation for easy use by all interested parties
iv. Liaises with Accounts to ensure availability of procurement funds and timely payments to suppliers.
V. Prepare draft bid documents and procurement plan;
vi. Entering sanctioned transactions entered in the procurement system for further processing; and
vii. Advising end users on development of procurement specifications.

Qualifications:
(i) Either an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in procurement purchasing and supplies OR first degree (Honors) in Economics, Business Administration or Commerce with Post-graduate Diploma in procurement and supplies management
(ii) OR A bachelor’s Degree in Non-supply chain management discipline, plus a post graduate Diploma in Public Procurement Management from a recognized awarding Institution
(iii) OR full professional qualification in Supply Chain Management (CIPS) plus a post graduate Diploma in Procurement Management from a recognized awarding Institution

Job Education Requirements: Either an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in procurement purchasing and supplies OR first degree (Honors) in Economics, Business Administration or Commerce with Post-graduate Diploma in procurement and supplies management
