Hunger Fighters Uganda, is WFP Cooperating Partners for General Food Assistance in Nakivale/Oruchinga and Kyangwali Refugee settlements. HFU wishes to recruit staff/volunteers to fill the positions tenable in the GFA project implemented in ISINGIRO and Kikuube Districts.SECURITY GUARD (02) Report to the Security OfficerDuties and Responsibilities:

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Obtains help by sounding alarms.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Controls traffic by directing drivers.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
•  Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The ideal candidate for the Position Officer Job opportunity should have a Minimum secondary school education. A postsecondary certificate in Community Psychology, Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences or any other related.
• Experience and knowledge of security operations technical processes.
• Previous experience in supporting security operations efforts as directed
• Language: Fluency in English & Swahili language.
