JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Supervisor Service Monitoring
Reports To: Manager Business Technology Services

The Supervisor Service Monitoring is responsible for providing leadership to the IT Service Monitoring Team. The IT Service monitoring team monitors the status of all IT services provided by the bank and ensuring the proper functioning of all systems. The Supervisor of IT Services Monitoring Team is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT Services Monitoring team.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
• Supervise the activities of the IT Services Monitoring team to ensure the team can perform its responsibilities resp¬ectively.
• Develop and maintain processes and procedures for monitoring IT services and responding to alerts and outages.
• Ensure the team can provide timely and accurate reporting on the status of all IT services. Work closely with other Business Technology teams to resolve any issues identified by the IT Services Monitoring team.
• Mentor and train team members to ensure they can perform their responsibilities resp¬ectively. Ensure the team has access to necessary tools and resources to perform their duties resp¬ectively.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure the IT Services Monitoring team can resp¬ectively perform its responsibilities.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of IT service monitoring. Facilitate timely and accurate communications of the IT Service status.
• Participate in the design and implementation of workflows and processes/procedures to achieve efficient use of IT Service Monitoring resources. Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within the team.
• Monitor system performance for all mission critical applications to identify trends and gather data. Identify recurring and potential problems to escalate situations to senior team members.
• Respond to alerts and notifications, open severity tickets, and open/manage bridge lines during outages.
• Send incident reports to the business and IT with updates of all system degradation and outages.
• Perform other duties as duly assigned.

Education, Experience, Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related ¬field. Certi¬cations e.g. ITIL, CCNA will be an added advantage.
• At least 2 years’ experience in data center operations monitoring. At least 2 years’ experience in server System administration.
• At least 2 years’ experience of supervising a team in an IT environment.
• Knowledge in networks Knowledge in databases Experience working in a medium to large organization.
• Worked across diverse cultures.
• People management experience
• Good communication abilities,
• Problem-solving orientation.
• A technical, logical thought process
• An ability to stick to strict deadlines.
• A keen eye for detail.
